Learn how to create your own Lion and Mouse shadow puppets at home! Designed for beginners and younger children, Mr. Damon will show you how to make a puppet from simple materials.

Here's how to get started:

Step 1: Watch the Welcome Video from Mr. Damon

Visit https://vimeo.com/424558966/8440378b59 to watch a 30-second video to get a sneak peek at a finished shadow puppet.

Step 2: Gather Your Supplies

Download and print the instruction sheet (http://www.theaterartsandpuppets.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Lion-and-the-Mouse-Shadow-Puppets-2ndPage.pdf) and the puppet template (http://www.theaterartsandpuppets.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Lion-and-the-Mouse-Shadow-Puppets-Forsyth.pdf). Then get scissors, tape, a thumbtack, paper fasteners (or string or a bread tie with wire inside), three rods (or chopsticks, pencils, or straws), and crayons or colored pencils.

Step 3: Make Your Shadow Puppet with Mr. Damon

Learn how to create your Lion and the Mouse puppets and how to make your own shadow screen by watching https://vimeo.com/424446652/f95149c96e. Feel free to pause the video if you need a little more time to complete a step. You can work at your own pace!

Thank you for joining us for a Shadow Puppet Workshop for beginners. Stay tuned for an advanced Shadow Puppet Workshop on Saturday, June 27 at 11:00 a.m.!
