Dr. Sarah Sumners of the University of Georgia’s Torrance Center for Creativity and Talent Development will share insights and strategies with parents of young children.
A series of programs offered once each month, Know as They Grow is designed for parents of children ages birth to six years of age. Each month, FCPL welcomes early childhood experts to discuss topics that are of interest to parents. Know as They Grow programs take place on FCPL's GoToMeeting platform. Registration is requested, and an email with login information will be sent prior to the program.
Dr. Sarah Sumners is an associate research scientist and associate director of the Torrance Center for Creativity and Talent Development at the University of Georgia. Dr. Sumners leads creativity trainings at the state, national, and international level, and has authored journal articles, book chapters and publications on creativity. In addition to over 15 years of experience at the higher education level, she is also a former high school teacher of the gifted. Dr. Sumners holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Mississippi State University.
