During this 8-week class taught by Robotics for All, participants in grades 4 - 6 will receive a basic introduction to Scratch, a visual block-based programming language developed by MIT.
Scratch is a popular way to learn the logic and thinking behind programming. It's also a perfect stepping stone to more advanced written coding languages such as Python and Java. In this workshop, participants will learn all the basics of coding with Scratch, from basic move functions to advanced programming concepts such as variables.
This free workshop takes place via FCPL's GoToMeeting platform. Once registered for the first session on February 1st, you are automatically registered for all sessions. Registration for the entire eight weeks is required. Once registered, you will receive an email with login information prior to each session.
