Andrea Miskewicz, Museum Education Coordinator at the Museum of History and Holocaust Education at Kennesaw State University, discusses the lives of women who suffered in and survived the Holocaust, but also those of female guards who willingly implemented the Nazi Final Solution.
This presentation is related to the Remembering Ravensbrück photographic exhibit on loan to the Cumming Library from the Museum of History and Holocaust Education from March 27 through April 28, 2019.
Remembering Ravensbrück tells the story of the Nazi concentration camp where more than 150,000 women were interned. The exhibition focuses on the history of the camp, from its beginning in 1939 to its liberation in 1945, and highlights the stories of individual women with historic photographs, maps, and artwork created by the prisoners.
