How to clear browser cache

When you use a browser, like Chrome or Safari, it saves some information from websites in its cache and cookies for quick access. Clearing them fixes certain problems, like loading or formatting issues on sites and show you the most recent updated pages by hard reloading your browser.

On desktop/laptop

    • Please check the latest official documentation on the vendor site.

      1. Open Chrome from your desktop or taskbar.  
      2. Inside Chrome, click the three-dot icon in the top right corner. Or press Ctrl+Shift+Del for the short key.
      3. Inside this new menu, click Clear browsing data.

      4. This will launch the Chrome Settings page.
        Select the time range on how far back you want to delete your cache. If you want to delete everything, select All time.
        *Make sure Cookies and other site data and cached images and files are selected. They should be by default.

      5. Click Clear data.

      1. Open Edge from your desktop or taskbar.  
      2. Inside Edge click the three-dot icon in the top right corner. Or press Ctrl+Shitf+Del for the short key.
      3. Inside this new menu, click Settings.

      4. This will launch the Edge Settings page.
        Switch to the Privacy, search, and services tab from the left column and scroll down the see the section of Clear browsing data. Click on the Choose what to clear button to continue.

      5. Select the time range on how far back you want to delete your cache. If you want to delete everything, select All time.
        * Make sure Cookies and other site data and cached images and files are selected. They should be by default.

      6. Once you have every option you want selected, click Clear now

      1. Open Firefox from your desktop or taskbar.  
      2. Inside Firefox, click the three-dot icon in the top right corner. Or press Ctrl+Shitf+Del for the short key.
      3. Inside this new menu, click Settings.

      4. This will launch the Firefox Settings page. Select Privacy & Security, scroll to Cookies and Site Data, and then click Clear Data.

      5. Check both Cookies and Site Data and Cached Web Content, and then click Clear. They should be by default.

      6. A confirmation box will appear. Click Clear Now to proceed.

      1. Open Safari from your desktop or taskbar.  
      2. Click Safari in the Apple Menu Bar. Or press Command+Comma for the short key.
      3. Inside this new menu, click Settings.

      4. This will launch the Safari Settings page. Go to the Privacy tab and click the Manage Website data box.

      5. Click Remove All. If you want to clear the cache of individual sites, select them while holding down the Command key and select Remove.

On mobile

    • Safari for iOS

      1. Close fully out of the browser.
      2. Tap Settings.
      3. Tap Safari.
      4. Tap Clear History and Website Data.

      Chrome for iOS

      1. Open the Chrome app.
      2. At the bottom, tap More three-dot icon.
      3. Tap History  > Clear browsing data.
      4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
      5. Next to "Cookies and site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
      6. Tap Clear data.
    •  Chrome for Android

      1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app.
      2. At the top right, tap More three-dot icon.
      3. Tap History  > Clear browsing data.
      4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
      5. Next to "Cookies and site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
      6. Tap Clear data.

Using a Private Browsing Window

You can consider using a private browsing window in your preferred browser to get most recent page instead of removing cache.
