Friends and Advocates

A library can never have too many friends! The Forsyth County Public Library Friends and Advocates are an independent, not-for-profit organization. Since 1995, members of the organization are dedicated to raising funds that support programs, resources, materials, and staff at the library.

Bookstores

FCPL Friends and Advocates operate used bookstores inside the Cumming Library, the Post Road Library, and the Sharon Forks Library during regular library hours.

Funds raised from book sales, membership fees, and other donations are used to support additional programs, materials, and events beyond the library's regular budget.

FCPL Friends and Advocates sponsors Forsyth Reads Together and helped bring best-selling author Martha Hall Kelly to our community.

Membership has its perks! Become a member of the FCPL Friends and Advocates and you'll receive exclusive invitations to members-only book sales and events, as well as the Annual Membership Meeting.

Volunteers are always needed and always welcome!

Volunteers can staff the Bookstores and assist patrons with purchases, accept and sort donated materials, or take on a leadership role in the FCPL Friends and Advocates organization.
