Forsyth Remembers is a program initiated by Forsyth County Public Library with the goal of collecting oral histories from members of the community. FCPL records and archives the remembrances of Forsyth County residents on various topics of interest and historical events that have helped shape the community.
This project focuses on what brought residents to Forsyth County, whether they were born here or migrated here from elsewhere in the United States or from another country. The funding for this program was provided by a grant from Community Webs.

This project focuses on collecting stories from those who remember the creation of the lake, or simply their own personal memories of time spent there.
2019 celebrated the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. Members of the community shared where they were and what they remembered of this historical event. A grant from the North Georgia Community Foundation helped fund this program, our initial oral history project.
